India is one of the world's top 10 producers of high-end polymers. The demand for engineered thermoplastic compounds such as mineral and glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene, nylon 6, nylon 66, ABS, polycarbonate, polyoxymethylene, and polyetheretherketone is expected to skyrocket in parallel with the expansion of the automotive, white goods, and consumer durables industries. India's plastics market was valued at $36.07 billion in 2020, and from 2021 to 2027, it is anticipated that total revenue will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 6.6 percent, or roughly $56.42 billion.
The expanding use of Thermoplastic materials in automobiles can be attributed to their lightweight, high efficiency, and rising demand for Electric vehicles. Looking at the opportunities various firms have promised the best services. Xmold Polymers being established in 1993 is the leading and trusted brand in this field.
The major challenges confronted by the customers in this sector are quality products at a competitive rate and the timely delivery of the products. “We cater for the specific Tailored/Customized Thermoplastic compound needs of customers as per performance requirements of the end applications. First of all, for any New grade development, we ask the Technical Datasheet (TDS) and design and develop the compound to meet the specific requirements on a pilot scale and supply trial samples.
We ensure online quality checks — with in-house testing facilities—as per standard procedures during the entire stages of the manufacture of Compounds. Timely delivery of Thermoplastic compounds (TPC), quality at par with international standards, consistency in quality, after-sale services, enriched customer focus and constant interaction”, speaks S. Srinivasan, Managing Director of Xmold Polymers.
Xmold Polymers are known for its diverse product range. “We at Xmold Polymers manufacture a wide range of Engineered Thermoplastic compounds viz polypropylene 20/30/40 percent reinforced (Talc/ mineral/GF) compounds, Nylon 6,66 ABS, POM, PC compounds to meet the growing demand of customers—may it be Automotive, white goods, consumer electronics, Aerospace Defense, and more. PP compounds account for around 70 percent of our total production and the rest are other Thermoplastic compounds. Pp compound includes Glass Fiber reinforced Minerals, Calcite, Heat Resistant, Flame-Retardant, Impact Modified, UV stabilised and many more”, says S. Srinivasan.
Xmold Polymers is being promoted and guided by S. Srinivasan a post graduate from IIT Delhi and has more than 4 decades of hands on experience in this field. He is being supported by a team of skilled and experienced individuals. Xmold Polymers is accredited with IATF 16949 2016 QMS. He has been awarded various awards and recognitions, most important of this was being the winner of the plasticon awards in 2015 from Plast India Foundation. The company has also been associated with Renault Nissan, Korea Fuel Tech, SL Lumax, Royal Enfield and many more.

Future Roadmap
Xmold Polymers has expanded rapidly over the years, and it can now produce 15000 TPA of thermoplastic compounds at its five specialized compounding plants. Through the use of equity partnerships and joint ventures, the company hopes to increase its current capacity to 20000 TPA. It also plans to branch out into polymer recycling and launch a joint initiative to create recycled plastic materials out of painted bumpers, giant bags, decommissioned PP pallets, and other forms of industrial pre-user plastic trash. In addition, k polymers, a subsidiary of Xmold polymers, will be used to grow the company's trading operations and meet customers' demands for all types of plastic raw materials. The company's long-term goal is to become the undisputed market leader in polymer compounds and a one-stop shop for all needs related to engineering plastics.
