Bearings are a vital component in automobiles and are responsible for efficient and smooth running of the vehicle. Today, the automotive bearings market is driven by increase in focus toward reduction of vehicle weight and rise in automobile production. Also, owing to an increased demand driven by self-mobility, introduction of scrappage policy and a stronger concern for climate change, Indian auto industry is expected to see stronger growth in the next few years.
This will directly help the demand for bearings to propel significantly. How-ever, there has been an unprecedented in-crease in input costs, which has presented a challenge to control costs while meeting energy-efficiency requirements.
With continuous improvement and innovation, Tata Bearings has been manufacturing world-class bearings with ensured top grade performance, longer life, competitive pricing, consistent delivery and service. It was the first company in the bearings industry in India to be awarded the ‘TPM Excellence Award First in Category’, in 2004, by JIPM. The Bearings Division has the capability to design, develop, manufacture, test and validate (R&D) bearings to cater to OEMs of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger and commercial vehicles, tractors, tillers, rotavators, pumps, motors, conveyors and other engineering applications.
