Taking over the Market
Set up in 1975, under the leadership and vision of Shyam Lal Sood, State Engineering Works was established in a small manufacturing facility at Mayapuri, Delhi. The firm started with a workforce of 4-5 people only, the manufacturing done was bifurcated rivets in Steel. Starting with serving 8-10 customers locally, soon, State Engineering Works expanded its business in 1986 at Samaipur Badli Industrial Area, Delhi. As expansion began, so did the increase in quantity and customers. In 1991, the manufacturing of Blind Rivets started in State Engineering Works hence becoming one of few Indian Manufacturers of Blind Rivets.
State Enterprises has been player in rivets and fasteners manufacturing since four decades years and the firm has not seen back since then. The efforts of Shyam Lal Sood were complemented by his two sons Gaurav Sood and Saurabh Sood who joined him in the business in 2003. In 2005, the trio established State Enterprises, the company which gave wings to their dreams. Another milestone was achieved in the year 2012, when they came up with state-of-the art facilities of manufacturing S L Fasteners under the name of their father Shyam Lal. Today S L Fasteners is the proud producer of highest number of Blind Rivets in the country.

In house Quality testing lab of the firm is equipped with latest testing equipment’s such as digital vernier callipers, UTM, Gauge, Salt Spray Test chamber, X ray machines and more, while in-house metallurgical lab has wide range of equipments like microscope, metallographic cutting machine, mould maker, polishing machine and others. With complete in house automated production facility starting from storage, forging machines, polishing plant, plating plant, picklers, annealing ovens, packing and labelling to production capacity of 60 million rivets per month, the list of achievements of State enterprises and SL fasteners is never ending.
Path Ahead
In 1975, the company started with manufacturing of bifurcated rivets and slowly in 2012 started manufacturing of blind rivets and became one of the largest supplier of rivets in India. Earlier starting with customer database of just 10 customers, now state enterprises successfully delivers to 7000 clients all over India and the world. The group turnover of the company is 60 crores as per FY 2021- 22, and forecasted for 100 cr in the FY 2022-23.
Slowly and gradually State Enterprises is becoming an adamant player in the field of fasteners. Currently the manufacturing facility is available in Kundli, but warehouses available in Kundli, Haryana and China. Soon the third warehouse will be opened in Toronto, Canada to cater the requirements of pacific customers.
