RDESL (erstwhile SIMCO) had its humble beginnings about three decades ago with over five product offerings to erstwhile Heavy Vehicles Factory, now AVVNL. Over the years, with relentless indigenization efforts, it now has grown to offer 30+ products across tanks and weapons (such as rifles) to other ord¬nance factories (OFMK, now under AV¬VNL), OFT (now known as AWE). RDESL has invested in product-specific Test Jigs and advanced technology test¬ing equipment to ensure faster turna¬round & consistent product quality. Furthermore, the product’s Life Cycle Validation is carried out by simulating extreme test conditions. To simulate these factors, the company has estab¬lished a modern Environmental lab with NABL accreditation. Here, the product is subjected to a variety of weather con¬ditions such as extreme heat, extreme cold, sudden temperature changes, rain, dust, corrosive environments, as well as vibration and impact loads, ensuring that the final product is capable of trou¬ble-free operation for the duration of its service life.
