Wooden packaging material has been used since ancient times due to its high strength and low cost. Few other materials took over wood in terms of packaging in the past. However, the growing consciousness about sustainable development and environment protection has motivated industries to again use wood as their primary packaging material. That being said, the price of wood is on the rise – up to 200% - which is a challenge for companies that have traditionally used wooden packaging boxes and plywood packaging for their export shipments. Moreover, with increased demand for wooden packaging materials, many manufacturers are scrambling to fulfill orders. Today, it is imperative to look for a customer-centric wooden packaging manufacturer with absolute control over manufacturing and supply-chain of the materials and this is what Parackal Wood Packers are known for in the market.
Since its inception, Parackal Wood Packers has strived to evolve as a one stop shop for its clients. It has two manufacturing Units: one at Perumbavoor, Kerala the cradle of Kerala wood market and the next in Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysore, Karnataka. The firm has complete control

The Road Ahead
In the days to come, Parackal is working to inaugurate a new ISPM 15 certified facility that will help them to update its products in accordance with the international size standards. This facility will also let the firm perform heat treatment on its products. The ISPM 15 certified facility will help to guarantee quality, variety and price. Antony D Parackal, the CEO, is already a certified FHAT (Forced Hot Air Treatment) holder from the National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Hyderabad.
Though HT and ISPM 15 Certification plant was planned in 2020, the Covid-19 outbreak had a slow down impact on such certified products. With the situation improving, Parackal is confident of inaugurating its own HT plant in 2023-24. Up to that time, it shall continue to use the certification facility from sub contracted Service providers.
