The business started out in 1948, in partnership with leading AC brands like Voltas and Carrier. Beginning as a sheet contractor, the company quickly moved into a full-service HVAC systems manufacturer. “We were the ones who made the first room AC in India. It is still available at our workplace. We are also the first to make an Air Handling Unit (AHU) in India. This was during the time when India was starting its journey toward developed nation, and we took the lead and became the leading supplier for big brands like Bluestar, Voltas, Carrier, and more. We were then approached by military and navy units and we supplied products to them also, expanding our reach”, further adds Salim.

While defense remains one of the core sectors for this company, in the coming years, the firm plans on expanding into the medical and pharma sectors more strongly. Forming a dedicated team to focus solely on this industry, MHP plans on supplying all types of systems including blowers and filtration systems so that the dependency on imported products is lessened. The firm is gearing up to manufacture these products in-house. MHP also plans to expand its global reach a few years down the line but is currently only focusing on India.
