The rise in demand for nonwoven products and solutions for hygiene, medical, construction, and filtration applications is fueling the expansion of the nonwoven market. The growth of the contemporary healthcare sector in emerging nations, the rise in the birth rate, and the boom in the geriatric population are all major growth factors for the nonwoven textiles market. As with every other industry, maintaining quality standards with prompt service deliverability is what a client would expect from the manufacturers. Clients are also seeking a competent player that can meet the demand for new and better-performing items as a result of technical improvements.
KTEX Nonwovens has established a reputation as a trusted leader in the nonwoven fabrics sector, specializing in providing innovative fabrics for the hygiene, medical, and industrial markets. Founded in the year 2018, KTEX Nonwovens is a joint venture between Karam Multipack (Part of Rhyno Group) and KT Exports. Both the firms have 35 years of combined experience which equips KTEX with the needed expertise in the industry today. KTEX is located in Gujarat, India, with its marketing office in Mumbai. Furthermore, the company also has its presence in the US, UAE and Kenya.
“Our key market in India is for Hygiene products. The Indian Hygiene market is currently
underdeveloped, wherein we see a lot of scope for growth with demand for related products significantly on the rise. In addition to India, we see a lot of scope for growth in Africa, where market penetration is low for hygiene products while demand continues to increase”, says Nikhil Vaswani, Global Sales & Marketing Head at KTEX.
Robust Infrastructure in Place
KTEX offers Spunbond, Spun-Melt and Bicomponent Spunbond material for various applications including, but not limited to Hygiene, Medical and Filtration sectors. It has a two-beam SS line, a five-beam SSMMS line, and a four-beam SMMS (Bico) line that was recently installed. Furthermore, KTEX has acquired its fourth line, a Six Beam SSMMMS Line, which will be installed and ready for commercial production by the end of 2022. The company offers Hydrophilic, Hydrophobic, Antistatic, and Antibacterial treatment to meet the needs of a diverse market.
“KTEX is located in Rajkot, Gujarat on a 20 acre parcel of land. At KTEX, we believe in innovation and technology-driven growth. An ensemble of avantgarde technologies gives us an edge over the competition and helps us achieve unmatched expertise. Hosting an ultra-modern lab, we can test for all parameters with the latest equipment, ensuring rigorous and high quality control. Quality, Safety and Sustainability are the foundational pillars of our philosophy. As an ISO 9001 & 14000 certified firm, KTEX firmly believes in sustainable development as a true measure of progress”, Nikhil explains about the robust infrastructure of the company.
Well-networked Firm
KTEX being primarily a manufacturing company, it has still always prioritized on offering prompt services. The company has set-up offices in strategic locations in India, US, UAE and Kenya, which ensures a customer can be catered to 24/7, irrespective of which part of the world they are located in. KTEX’ strong focus on service and multilingual marketing team allows us to build long-term relationships. In terms of capability, KTEX is the only manufacturing unit in the Indian Subcontinent with a Bicomponent Spun-Melt line, making it the only unit in India to offer Super Soft fabrics.
The management team at KTEX has always operated with a focus on the long term goals, rather than short term gains. Going forward, the company aims to be one of the most prominent nonwoven manufacturers not only in India, but across the globe. KTEX started-off with a 6000 annual metric ton capacity in 2018, and will grow to 30,000 Metric tons by the end of 2022. Today, KTEX is operating with five offices in three continents. It also has plans to open additional offices to cater to the European and South American markets.
“KTEX would like to diversify its product offerings within the nonwoven segment. We would like to see ourselves as a one-stop-shop for all Hygiene & Medical nonwovens within the next five years”, concludes Nikhil.
