The market worth of contract manufacturing in India’s Ayurveda industry is expected to grow to Rs. 710.87 billion by 2024, expanding at a CAGR of 16.06%. The last 5 years has seen a significant increase in the awareness among people about the goodness of ayurvedic and herbal products. This has resulted in giving a fillip to the Ayurvedic and herbal products industry. Today practically every MNC has launched Ayurvedic and herbal products for personal use. The next big task for this industry is further increasing the efficacy of these products and putting them on a global map.
The ayurvedic industry demands product quality assurance as a primary factor and coupled with the need for transparency regarding the ingredients of those products. This becomes extremely important as customers are looking for the validation of genuineness of the products before using them. The primary factor which differentiates Klienz Herbal from the rest of the competition is the zero-tolerance policy towards any compromise in quality implemented through a robust set of quality control procedures. Klienz Herbal ensures transparency in its products by making the ingredients known to the buyers to allow them to make an informed choice.
The Growth Story
The increasing demand for ayurvedic products among the customers is attributed to the growing
dependency on natural and organic processes in the Indian industry. Rashmi adds, “Earlier, the industry depended on international brands which manufactured creams and provided skincare and beauty products. However, the demand shifted towards herbal products in the Indian industry as consumers became more conscious of the importance of Ayurveda in daily life. This increased demand for ayurvedic products has provided more opportunities for our company in the herbal products sector in terms of manufacturing of varied products, acceptance of a larger number of herbs and herbal ingredients. This has led to us creating a well-established product portfolio.”
Klienz Herbal was started in 2007 with a team of 2 people and a capital of Rs. Fifty thousand in the ayurvedic and herbal industry and has now grown to employee strength of 35 with an annual turnover of Rs. 6 crores.
