In recent years, India’s heat treat furnace market has seen significant growth driven by rapid industrial expansion across manufacturing, automotive and aerospace sectors. This surge has led to a higher demand for precise heat treatment process crucial for component manufacturing. Established in 1971, HIGHTEMP FURNACES has grown from a manufacturer of small ovens and laboratory furnaces to become the largest in terms of sales for Atmospheric Furnaces and for commercial heat treatment pan India. Now a proud subsidiary of Dowa Thermotech Company, Japan, the company has charted a trajectory of consistent growth.
Business operations are managed by a Japanese engineering director and general manager. Strategic partnerships with AFC-Holcroft (USA), Sanken Sangyo Company (Japan), and PYRADIA (Canada) provide HIGHTEMP with access to state-of-the-art technology and process expertise, ensuring the firm maintains a competitive edge in the market.
Over the past three years, HIGHTEMP FURNACES has developed an 'Innovative IOT Solution' that enhances furnace performance through seamless data extraction, advanced processing, and predictive analytics. Since its inception, the company has focused on improvement and is proud of its ongoing development of a carbon-neutral furnace to contribute to the industry's future growth.
“Renowned for quality, the company serves major automotive manufacturers such as Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, and Honda, underscoring its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction”, says Akihiro Sato, Director.
Pioneering Excellence in Furnace Manufacturing
HIGHTEMP’s extensive product portfolio caters to diverse industrial needs, featuring flagship products such as the Sealed Quench Furnace (TKM), Semi Continuous Super-TKM Furnace, Continuous Gas Carburizing Furnace, Mesh Belt Furnace, Tower Aluminum Melting Furnace, Spheroidize Annealing Furnace, Vacuum Washing Machine, Drop Bottom Furnace (Aerospace), Rotary Retort Furnace, and Endo Gas Generators. From initial inquiry to post-service follow-up, the company ensures a streamlined client engagement process. Utilizing SAP for efficient order management, HIGHTEMP meticulously plans material procurement, quality assurance, and fabrication to meet delivery deadlines. Thorough cold runs are conducted at the manufacturing facility prior to dispatch, ensuring seamless installation and start-up of furnaces at the client's site. As an ISO 9001-certified company, HIGHTEMP FURNACES adheres to a continuous improvement process, supported by appropriate infrastructure, personnel, technology, and resources.
Offering Excellence in Heat Treatment & Quality Components for Industry
HIGHTEMP’s commercial heat treatment facilities across India offer a comprehensive suite of services including carburizing, hardening, annealing, carbonitriding, normalizing, tempering, Nitrotec, nitrocarburizing, nitriding, steam bluing, sub-zero treatment, shot blasting, vibro finishing, centrifugal finishing, precipitation hardening, and intensive quenching. In response to high demand from automotive clients, HIGHTEMP has launched a specialized vertical for forging and machining services. This backward integration strategy guarantees top-quality machined and heat-treated components while addressing supply chain challenges. Equipped with state-of-the-art Schuler presses and advanced facilities for automatic forging, machining, and heat treatment, the company produces nearly 80 components per minute, ensuring swift and economical delivery. Nitriding, an eco-friendly alternative to conventional carburizing, eliminates CO2 emissions and avoids the use of methane gas. Recognized for its environmental benefits in the automotive industry, nitriding previously posed brittleness challenges. To overcome this, HIGHTEMP developed 'HARDERNITE' technology in collaboration with automotive and material partners.
Frontiers of Furnace Innovation & R&D Revolutionized?
HIGHTEMP is committed to environmental responsibility and carbon neutrality with the introduction of the Z-TKM series. Recognizing that industrial furnaces in India contribute significantly to CO2 emissions, the firm is transitioning from conventional process gases to eco-friendly producer gas derived from natural materials. Additionally, the company is set to launch the innovative 'DNTN' technology in 2026, targeting EV unit heat treatment, further broadening their sustainable solutions.
