Dispotronics, founded by late Dr Yogesh Gurjar, a visionary entrepreneur, initially specialized in manufacturing medical equipment, including ICU consoles, displays, and surgical tables. Based in Pune, the company saw a shift in market dynamics as the burgeoning automotive industry around them began to demand more products.
Recognizing this opportunity, The firm pivoted towards the automotive and mechatronics sectors, experiencing significant growth in these markets. As the automotive business outpaced its medical division, the company strategically decided to grow in the engineering & manufacturing operations. By 2004, the company expanded its reach beyond India, establishing a global presence and now supplying to over 17 countries from its Pune plant.
The firm has made significant strides in the industrial sector, particularly in alignment with the Indian government's Make in India initiative. “Following the passing of our founder in 2021, we have revitalized our focus on growth and expansion at Dispotronics. Recently, we successfully transitioned three product lines, previously manufactured in the US, to our Pune facility, resulting in thousands of units ordered. At Dispotronics, environmental sustainability is a core focus driven by company values and customer demand for eco-friendly practices. The firm goes beyond the required governing regulations to ensure its compliance with environmental norms in all manufacturing processes. The company utilizes wastewater recycling systems and works with customer packaging teams to minimize waste, using recyclable materials whenever possible. The firm’s commitment includes planting 500 trees on its six-acre facility and implementing a rainwater harvesting system that collects 2.5 million liters of water for reuse in production. Additionally, it also offers a robust three-year warranty for the products, supported by a dedicated team and training programs for OEMs to reduce part failures.
Dispotronics has made significant strides in technological advancement by investing into the ERP systems which is now a fully cloud-based solution. “We have introduced QR code-based tracking systems, allowing customers to trace every step of the manufacturing process, including operator involvement and quality checks. This innovation significantly reduces the time taken to retrieve data, enhancing both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. While sensor manufacturing is a key focus for Dispotronics, we operate across seven product categories, including valves, RPM meters, tachometers, and solenoid pumps”, adds Shantanu. Some of the products supplied by Dispotronics have Zero PPM(parts per million) since 2002 which shows their significant focus on the product quality. Their in-house plastic molding capabilities for product casings, the firm demonstrates a comprehensive approach to manufacturing that combines technology with a diverse product range, ensuring they meet a variety of customer needs.
