In 2021, the animal health market in India had a value of Rs.67.83 billion. The market is predicted by IMARC Group to grow at a CAGR of 9.52 percent from 2022 to 2027, reaching Rs.14.12 billion. The animal production and processing industries are expected to increase rapidly over the next few decades as a result of India's size, demography, and rising income. Bentoli Agrinutrition India established in 2008 is one of the leading companies in this sector. The company is working in the nutritional sector of animals.
Animal production companies encounter global and local issues. Increasing output and quality against rising disease threats, worsening climatic conditions due to global warming, and growing opposition to animal husbandry will be the biggest global problems. Local problems include satisfying farmers' cost and product demands. “Bentoli Agrinutrition India as a global company has always had a customer-centric, solutions-focused orientation and Bentoli India fully subscribes to this philosophy of getting deep into the needs of the customers and developing solutions. We moved from import of products for sales to direct manufacturing and local R&D in just seven years to put into practice our belief that we have to be deeply involved in the market", says Dr. Victor Suresh, the company’s Managing Director.
Bentoli is not directly in the animal health market in the sense that it is not involved in the manufacturing or sales of any pharmaceutical products. They are rather in the animal nutrition sector but it is impossible to separate nutrition and health these days.
“What we feed the animals determine their health and healthy animals take the best out of what they are being fed. We have three major categories of products: products like pellet binders used in feed processing; products like mould inhibitors, antioxidants and antimicrobials that are used in feed preservation; and products like trace minerals, vitamin premixes, enzymes, antistress formulations, direct-fed microbials, gut health oriented organic acid blends, and mycotoxin binders that belong to the Health & Nutrition category. We provide a comprehensive line of products with associated services to our customers who are mostly feed manufacturers. But we are now increasing the reach of our applications to the farmers directly as well”, says Dr. Suresh.

The company has a team of 70 people relatively of younger lots. From the southern, western and northern markets, it has expanded to the east and started exporting to Nepal and Bangladesh. The company has a strong presence in the aquaculture markets in addition to the poultry markets.
The company faced significant turbulence during the pandemic and lockdown periods, yet it emerged unscathed, demonstrating the sector's resiliency. Although the market is now stable, the rise in raw material prices is posing challenges. The pursuit of operational efficiency and market value is necessary. That is what Bentoli Agrinutrition India is now doing. In the upcoming seven years, Bentoli Agrinutrition India will be making the investments for future growth and expects to find the results quite rewarding.
