“We collaborate with customers' design engineers to determine the best alloys and profile designs based on end applications; our design office has generated over 16,000 profiles for diverse end applications. We can accommodate a wide range of assemblies and customized products due to our cold drawing, fabrication, and long-established supplier network for surface finishes. By constantly inventing new alloys and improving processes for improved quality assurance, the firm has become the chosen supplier to OEMs providing end-to-end solutions,” shares Mandar Kale, Head-Sales and Business Development, Banco Aluminium.
Range of Alloys
Banco Aluminium has an in-house foundry that develops and supplies high strength, machining alloys, and other special alloys, including the following two series: 2011, 2017A, 2014, 24534, 24345, 2030, 2024, 2111 LF, 2033 LF (LF - Lead Free) and six series: 6026 LF, 6262,6082,6042. (LF - Lead Free). To comply with future RoHS Directives and to meet the most demanding needs in critical applications in the automotive, electric, electrical, valves, pneumatics, and machining industries, Banco's inhouse foundry created 6026LF Leadfree. 6026LF is highly adaptable due to its medium-high mechanical properties, good qualities when anodized or moulded, easy soldiering ability, and corrosion resistance. Because of its superior chip formation, this alloy is also well suited for use on high-speed automatic lathes.
Process Improvements
Banco Aluminium supplies extrusions for structural parts to component manufacturing companies for both electric and combustion powered passenger and commercial vehicles. Over the past years, it has worked on improving its process and quality controls to cater to its passenger and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers and the auto-ancillary manufacturers by attaining the IATF certification. To enhance dimensional control of its products, Banco Aluminium now has a state-of-the-art Ascona profile measuring system – enabling its operations team to check precise dimensions online instantaneously.
