Thermoforming is a popular process in the western and European countries. Indian market has a lot of potential in this regard, especially with global countries looking to set up manufacturing activities in India. Moreover, with the movement of Make in India, demand for superior quality products in terms of aesthetics is increasing in the Indian market. However, due to a lack of knowledge about the process, customers design their products keeping in mind the conventional processes.
To take advantage of vacuum forming, products can be designed in a way that adds extra value in terms of aesthetics, weight reduction and mechanical robustness. Acros gets involved with customers when they are in the design phase of their project. The company’s experienced design team provides inputs that let them take advantage of the process right at the inception phase which eliminates changes and modifications at critical times in the execution phase without compromising on the vision of the original product.
Acros has been in business for 40+ years and into thermoforming for more than 25 years. “We were the first ones to import Polycarbonate material in India to use in roofing applications. We have one of the biggest thermoforming facilities in India in terms of capacity and capability. We have state of the art machines that can cater to the demands in the marker,” states Sunil Shah, Founder, Acros. The company has an excellent team of experts who love to take on challenges which seem impossible to achieve.
Operational Excellence
Acros’s production facility is spread across 40,000+ sq.ft of roofed area, which is designed to optimize workflow for convenient and smooth operations. It has multiple state of the art thermoforming stations which are capable of making singular parts that are as big as 2 meters by 3 meters. It also has several 5 Axis CNC Routers that are capable of trimming thermoformed parts accurately and precisely. The company believes in providing finished parts, which eliminates a lot of processes for the customer at their end. “Our dynamic engineering team is capable of creating Special Purpose Machinery for unique requirements. We also have an in-house tool making shop which ensures strict quality control for our products. It also helps us by reducing a great deal of time for rapid prototyping”, mentions the Founder.
Acros has a team of highly trained engineers who provide excellent design assistance to customers. Its production team consists of experienced operators who strive to make the impossible possible without compromising on quality. The company provides multiple services that add value to the product, like paint shop, fabrication activities and assembly line to name a few which inturn eliminates or reduces further processing on the parts at customer’s end.
Future Endeavours
Thermoforming activities were started by Acros with the Vision of doing something unique and providing solutions which were hard to achieve and provide functional advantages over the conventional processes. Today, the company is proud to associate itself with multiple national and international companies who trust it in supplying high quality thermoformed parts which are used all over the world. “We have grand plans for the future by introducing products that provide excellent functionality in terms of installation and usability with superior quality and finish in various segments across the industries like Health care, Automotive, Hospitality and Construction to name a few”, concludes the Founder.
