Tata Motors announced that they have been given a contract by the UP State Road Transport Corporation to provide 1,000 diesel bus chassis. The company acquired the order after participating in a competitive virtual bidding process. The bus chassis will be provided gradually according to the agreed terms, said in the statement.
Anand S, Head of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, mentioned, "The Tata LPO 1618 bus chassis is engineered to deliver robust and reliable mobility with high uptime and low maintenance and operating costs. We look forward to commencing supplies as per the guidance of UPSRTC."
According to the company, the most recent order comes after the company successfully met a larger order of 1,350 bus chassis last year, which are now operating effectively for UPSRTC.
