Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd is set to expand its global footprint through a strategic acquisition in Europe’s thriving automotive sector. The company announced its plan to acquire International Automotive Components Group Sweden AB (IAC Sweden), a prominent manufacturer known for its high-quality interior systems and components. This move not only strengthens Tata AutoComp's presence in Sweden but also deepens its relationships with key European Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in both the passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
IAC Sweden boasts a turnover of approximately USD 800 million, underscoring its established position in the premium automotive space. The proposed acquisition, subject to European regulatory approvals, is expected to offer strong synergy opportunities by leveraging advanced manufacturing capabilities and cutting-edge technology. With this deal, Tata AutoComp aims to consolidate its status as one of India’s largest automotive component manufacturers and enhance its influence in the European automotive sector.
