On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the initiation of two new missions designed to enhance manufacturing and exports. He underscored the importance of improved technology and high-quality products , as well as the emphasis on skilling to reduce costs.
He urged all stakeholders to identify new products in worldwide demand that can be manufactured in India and motivated them to strategically engage with nations that have export potential. Modi pledged to support and enhance MSMEs, labeling them the foundation of the nation.
He emphasised that the assurance of consistency and reforms has brought new confidence within the industry. Modi was addressing post-budget webinars via video conferencing. The webinars were held on "MSME as an Engine of Growth", "Manufacturing, Exports, and Nuclear Energy Missions", and "Regulatory, Investment, and Ease of Doing Business Reforms."
In his remarks to the assembly, he noted that the webinars on manufacturing and export following the budget hold significant value. Pointing out that this budget marked the first complete budget of the government's third term, he highlighted that the most significant feature of this budget is its execution, surpassing expectations.
Modi highlighted that the government has implemented measures that exceed experts’ expectations in various sectors. He also emphasized that important choices have been made concerning production and exports in this budget. He guaranteed all stakeholders in manufacturing and export that this consistency would persist in the years ahead.
Highlighting that supply chain disruptions impact the global economy, and that the world requires dependable partners who provide high-quality products and ensure consistent supply, Modi stressed that India is capable of meeting this demand, representing a major opportunity for the nation. He encouraged the industry to avoid being passive observers and instead to actively pursue their roles and create opportunities.
