Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MicroCon Vision Ltd, which is associated with the Controp and Rafael Group from Israel, to enhance India’s expertise in defence and drone technology. The partnership will allow Paras Defence to be the sole provider of advanced drone camera systems in India, delivering these technologies at greatly lowered prices.
This collaboration seeks to localize the manufacturing of sophisticated drone cameras and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) payloads, thereby enhancing self-sufficiency in India's defense industry. By implementing these systems with significant indigenous content, Paras Defence aims to cut the cost of each unit by 50-60%, making advanced surveillance technology more available for military and commercial uses. The models, usually priced at ₹20 lakh and ₹40 lakh each when brought in from abroad, will be sold for much less than their standard price.
MicroCon Vision will provide Paras Defence with exclusive drone cameras, incorporating ISR payloads and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) seekers, whereas Paras Defence will be MicroCon’s sole partner for ISR activities in India. This collaboration aids MicroCon's strategy to enhance its footprint in the swiftly growing drone market of India.
The MoU emphasizes the incorporation of advanced technologies like AI analytics, high-resolution imaging, and thermal vision into ISR payloads, improving surveillance and operational effectiveness in both defense and civilian areas. Paras Defence is a prominent supplier of cutting-edge defense and space technology solutions, focusing on the design, development, and production of high-precision equipment.
