The Omkareshwar Reservoir in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh will host 80 megawatts (MW) of floating solar power, according to NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (REL). Rewa Ultra Mega Solar, a joint venture between MP Urja Vikas Nigam and Solar Energy Corporation of India, conducted the auction on August 8, 2023. The electricity produced by the project would be used by the state discoms at the discovered rate of Rs 3.80 per unit.
