Mahindra Aerostructures Private Limited. (MASPL), a division of the Mahindra Group, has obtained a contract from Airbus Helicopters to produce and assemble the main fuselage for the H130 helicopter in India, signaling Mahindra’s shift from providing smaller parts to creating more intricate aerostructures.
As per the company's announcement, manufacturing starts right away, with the initial delivery anticipated by March 2027. These will be sent to Airbus Helicopters' facilities in Europe.

This collaboration represents an enhancement of the partnership between Mahindra and Airbus. Mahindra currently supplies a range of components and sub-assemblies for Airbus' commercial aircraft programs.

The H130 helicopter is intended for multiple uses, such as passenger transport, tourism, private and business aviation, medical airlift, and surveillance operations. The plane can hold a pilot and as many as seven passengers in its spacious cabin.
