Kerakoll, a global provider of sustainable building solutions announced the opening of its new manufacturing plant in Jaipur. A company official stated that the organization has invested Rs 260 crore in the facility.
"The Jaipur facility represents a major step forward in our commitment to sustainability and innovation in India," Ahzam Javed, Regional Director-Asia Pacific at Kerakoll, said.
"With an initial annual production capacity of 1,50,000 tons, the plant is designed for scalability, offering the opportunity to double its output in the future to meet growing market demand," he said in a release.
"The existing facility in Vadodara and the newly launched plant in Jaipur will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's business objectives," he said.
The organization offers a variety of environmentally friendly products, such as adhesives, grouts, coatings, and waterproofing solutions.
The new facility reflects Kerakoll’s dedication to eco-friendly construction through innovative sustainability practices. It includes a 900 KVA solar facility that reduces carbon emissions by 1,500 tons each year, along with a rainwater harvesting system that gathers 840 cubic meters annually. One-third of the area consists of a green belt featuring over 1,600 trees, including a Miyawaki forest.
Built to optimize natural light and cooling, the facility employs 100% battery-powered forklifts to enhance efficiency and lessen environmental impact. The current facility in Vadodara and the recently opened plant in Jaipur will be crucial in supporting the company's business goals and enhancing India’s developing infrastructure framework.
