Goldman Sachs has entered into a two-year research collaboration with IIT Kharagpur – AI centre of Excellence inorder to create many intellectual property assets and AI techniques. This will benefit range of companies globally.
“The pandemic has pushed both consumers and businesses to digitally adapt. Such collaborations
will advance AI- research and create opportunities for companies that can innovate for enhanced consumer experience in data- driven world.
Designing AI models as they work at scale and drive informed decisions, will further lead to operational efficiencies and timely risk mitigation across industry sectors, including financial services,” said Koustuv Dasgupta, head of R and D Engineering at Goldman Sachs Services in India.
“This collaboration will develop deep- leaning- based AI techniques that can train systems to automatically read and summarise financial document, identify key narratives, and forecast potential global events. Further, the AI models developed can help train systems achieve maximum accuracy from small datasets,” he added.
Thus this is a first- of its kind engineering study partnership of the firm with an IIT that aims to nuild world- class competency in AI and deep FinTech by leveraging ecosystem extensively of AI in Indian academia.
