Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) and Oil India Ltd's joint venture project to develop 620 MW of green energy has received preliminary permission from the state's cabinet.
Seven green energy projects, including the 200-MW Tezpur Agrivoltaic Project, the 40-MW Golaghat Floating Solar Power Project, and the 70-MW Sonbeel Floating Solar Power Project, will be executed in various regions. The 100-MW
Batadrava Agrivoltaic Project, the 60-MW Chandrapur PSP with Solar Power Project, the 50-MW Lower Kopili Agrivoltaic Project, and the Margherita Solar Power Project. The debt-to-equity ratio for the projects will be 80:20, with no obligations to the state government.
The cabinet has given approval to set up a 70 MW Solar Power Plant at Khudigaon Part II under Bilasipara Revenue Circle in Dhubri district for sale of power to APDCL. The proposed Solar Power Plant will be developed on Build-Own- Operate mode by Solar Power Generator. The cabinet has also decided to operate low-cost air services between non-UDAN routes, Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) will execute an MoU with FlyBig Airline.
Such flights will initially operate on the Dibrugarh-Guwahati and Guwahati-Silchar routes on a trial basis for three months before eventually connecting other significant destinations. Airlines will charge market rates for tickets; even during periods of high demand, prices will not rise above Rs 4,500. Viability Gap Financing (VGF) will be provided for the operation of such air services by the State Government.
