In gas turbines there is a loss of efficiency due to deposition of contaminants from fuel and corrosion of blades hence, the compressors need regular cleaning. Earlier compressor cleaners were solvent based which were hazardous to ground water but Sun Chemical has managed to introduce the water-based cleaners which has the cleaning efficiency better than solvent based cleaners. This also prevents the ground water from being affected and polluted since the waste is discharged in treatment plants.
