The steel wire rope market is steadily propelling due to the growing usage across various industry verticals. The opportunities today are immense for all the manufacturers. This is due to the rise in demand across a wide range of industries. Steel Industries are expanding their capacities, PSUs are expanding their operations, setting up of new power plants, commissioning of new power distribution network, booming real estate and government backed development projects are all the major factors for the rise in domestic demand. Wire rope is a consumable product and thus increases in capacities of the steel manufacturing plants and other PSUs will support a sustainable demand.

What are the major expectations of the clients from the players in this space? How has the company positioned itself to meet those expectations?
We cater to the quality conscious clients. Their requirements are very basic- timely deliveries at affordable prices. We have positioned ourselves as the direct competitors to the market leader in the domestic market in terms of quality but at affordable prices. We are known for our reliable and durable quality of wire ropes and have a reputation to honor our commitments and as a fair player in this industry since decades.
Shed light on the competency of the company when it comes to rope manufacturing.
We have a legacy and knowledge of over 50 years in the Steel Wire Rope making and are one of the oldest players still operating in the country. Our competency is our quality and knowledge. Our promoters are involved in the day-to-day operations and their unparalleled knowledge in rope making is acknowledged and appreciated throughout our industry. They are the prominent members of the Bureau of Indian Standards and are responsible in drafting the standards for the
wire ropes, and our inventory management systems and a network of dependable raw material suppliers have made it possible for us to give quick deliveries.
Elaborate on the unique range of products that the company is known in the market for.
We have developed a unique 6X41 construction mining rope which is a huge success and are the pioneers to introduce it in the mining industry. We have a special range of fishing ropes which can be customized as per the wants and needs of the customer, and based on the different types of onboard and off board applications.
Elucidate on the company’s manufacturing facilities. What has been the approach towards maintaining strict quality standards?
Our management system is ISO Certified by TUV AUSTRIA for manufacturing and marketing of Steel Wire Ropes. Our products are ISI marked and can manufacture ropes confirming to all the International Standards. We procure wires and have a set of trustworthy and quality conscious wire manufacturers who make our value addition even more valuable. We have been their clients for decades and they are well aware of the extra quality measures that we take. Unlike our competitors who have integrated wire drawing plant, we have implemented a ruthless zero tolerance policy for defective wires without worrying about the rejections. Each and every testing is done according to the international standards, and we try to achieve perfection in every step of manufacturing.
We have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that was awarded as the Best Industry Undertaking by the Maharashtra Government and we continuously upgrade our facilities in terms of process up gradation and follow KAIZEN techniques.

What are the major factors that differentiate your company among its peers?
We are the third-generation family owned business and have a legacy to carry on for more generations to come. The rope making knowledge and values are being passed on by generation to generation. This makes it very easy in an engineering intrinsic industry and has been the reason for our longevity. Their strong technical background and hands-on involvement helps us deliver superior product with quick deliveries and swift after-sales services.
How has been the overall journey of the company since its inception? Shed light on the growth it has witnessed till date.
The founder member of our company, S.M. Golwelkar used to serve as a Chief Quality Engineer in one of the most reputed companies of wire rope. He then founded our sister concern company Orient Wire Ropes Private in Indore in 1972 and later on laid foundation of our present day company in 1992. We started small and today are the second best rope brand in India, so the journey has been great.
What would be the future roadmap for the company going forward?
We are keen on expanding our operations globally and want to become the household name for wire ropes globally.
