Can you kindly express to us about the inception ideology of OP Jindal University? What is the vision and mission of the University?
With the goal of empowering the next generation through quality education, Shri Om Prakash Jindal Ji inspired the establishment of the OP Jindal University in 2014. By producing young professionals to guide both the Indian business world and social life, the dream is successfully accomplished.
Our Vision is to foster young minds to lead a sustainable change of society through excellence in value-based education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Our Vision is to become a role model among higher educational institutions internationally. Our Mission is to educate young people in India about cutting-edge technology so they may become industry-ready talent and solve challenges in the real world. OPJU will create professionals that are well-rounded and globally capable for a sustainable future.
How does OP Jindal University address some of the pain points that exist in the education sector in the country? What are the major benefits provided by OP Jindal University to the students when compared to other multidisciplinary universities in the country?
OPJU supports an education system based on the idea of 'learning by doing', or learning to develop one's own lifestyle, career, character, and culture through a well-defined set of practises that make use of modern technologies and social innovations to meet the country's obligations to the rest of the world. OPJU uses hybrid learning to help learners who are geographically dispersed, face economic constraints, and require transdisciplinary abilities in both theory and practice.
The idea of industry-endorsed learning was created in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh by OP Jindal University. According to the AICTE CII poll, it was recognised as the best industry-linked institute in the country in 2021. It provides top-notch courses and programmes in a variety of fields of professional education. Similar to how computers benefit from having a 'Intel (processor) inside', our university is proud to offer programmes that have been 'approved by Intel and Siemens'. What are the courses you provide to the students and how do you ensure the uniqueness of the courses? What are the various infrastructural and modern-day facilities you provide to the students?
OPJU offers professional courses as part of higher education programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in science, engineering, and business management with a variety of honors, fields, and specialties. The upgraded curriculum, cutting-edge lab technology, industry 4.0 exposures, incubation center, and other centers of excellence that offer webinars, workshops, and skill-upgrading training programmes are what make this programme special.
A modern indoor stadium, open-gym, medical facilities, canteen, physical/ digital library, auditorium, hostel, and transportation are all provided by OPJU. It has built numerous centers of excellence for steel technology, industry 4.0, logistic management, research excellence, and so on. OPJU students are able to take advantage of the placement aid and internship opportunities with ease because of their exposure to a variety of facilities.
What are the pedagogical methodologies adopted by the faculties at OP Jindal University? How do you ensure the quality of faculties?

According to the vision of our founder, Shri Om Prakash Jindal Ji, providing financial aid for education is the most effective way to support the weaker members of society. The neighborhood can learn to recognise its own resources and potential. Every year, OPJU awards merit-based and entry-level scholarships to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged areas with the help of the JSP foundation. It also encourages those with talent to apply for the esteemed OP Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarships (OPJEMS), a prestigious national scholarship that aids deserving students in overcoming obstacles to success including financial insufficiency.
What are the placements and internship opportunities students get at OP Jindal University?
To give its students a competitive edge, OPJU engages in top-tier academic practice through partnerships with numerous businesses and colleges. Among the companies with which we have worked on industrial projects are JSL, JSP, Capgemini, Aditya Birla Group, NECO Group, ALKEM, DS Group, Reliance, DRDO, BARC, and JSW Steels. For the training and placement of its science, engineering, and management students, OPJU receives top attention from its sister companies, the Jindal group of Industries. Despite being a fledgling university, its students received average pay packages between 6 and 7 LPA.
The highest package, at 33 LPA, was provided by Amazon to a CSE student the previous year. OPJU anticipates overcoming that barrier this year. Every year, between 80 and 85 percent of our students are placed. Our students also participate in paid internships in addition to this. With the motto of 'learning by doing' while keeping in mind various industrial sectors, OPJU took first place in Internshala.
