According to a Businesswire analysis, the Global TMT Steel Bar Market was valued at $8,748.44 million in 2020 and is expected to rise at a 7.30 percent CAGR to reach $14,329.86 million by 2027. TMT bars have become the preferred option for discerning builders because of their great cement bonding, exceptional weldability, good bendability, and corrosion, fire & earthquake resistant properties.
TMT steel bars are in high demand, particularly in humid climatic zones where the metal is prone to corrosion. The Indian market contains multiple regional companies that serve local clients, and their consumer approval is high, resulting in significant business volumes in regional marketplaces. As a result, new players around the country are making the competition tougher by the day.
And with this, the end customer will be seeking for brands that can provide them with higher-quality items at lower pricing. TMT Bar makers are prepared to benefit from India’s gradual transformation into a global manufacturing base.
Maan Shakti TMT Rebars, a product of Maan Steel and Power Limited (MSPL) is one of India’s most prominent industrial enterprises over the past 30 years. MSPL has successfully positioned itself in the industry as one of the most trusted firms when it comes to supplying high-quality products at reasonable costs and with timely service delivery. Strict quality controls and rigorous processes are in place to ensure that every client’s expectations are fully satisfied.
“Maan Shakti means ‘Pride, Power, and Strength’. The main component here is the trust and transparency that we have built over the last two decades. We have been able to manage costs and quality by having an integrated steel plant, which we can pass on to our clients who have trusted us over the years. We also sell surplus raw materials to the market, such as iron ore and billet. In addition to TMT Bars, we are well-known in the industry for Sponge Iron and M/S Billets”, says Binod Kumar Agarwal, CMD at Maan Steel and Power Limited.
TMT Rebars from MSPL are made using a specific metallurgical treatment of low-carbon steel. It provides excellent structural strength, increases lifespan and defends against environmental threats. It also has a high ductility & cohesive strength and can bend without breaking. Surprisingly, these TMT Bars feature amazing shock absorption and are manufactured using cutting-edge technology to meet stringent international quality requirements.
Furthermore, these TMT Bars are extremely earthquake-resistant, fire-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and have high flexibility and strength. These TMT bars also offer excellent thermal stability. Not only that, but they can resist temperatures ranging from 400-600 degrees Celsius.
They are ideal for fire-prone locations because they give safety. Because of their increased elongation and tensile strength, the bars are less
costly than normal bars. Furthermore, they are adaptable and simple to move. “In today’s volatile market scenario, it is very difficult to survive without keeping a control on cost and quality. Our strength of creating ore to metal under one roof and our team being our backbone who have been with us for almost two decades, enable us to maintain consistency of quality product and trust in the market”, Binod adds.
MSPL is an ‘ore to core’ firm, which means that it buys high-quality iron ore in order to produce certified goods and provide ahead of schedule. The laboratories are self-contained entities with unbiased & stringent quality requirements and direct management access. And as it places a premium on quality, all of the products are BIS and ISO certified. According to its Quality Action Plan (QAP), increased automation will result in accurate manufacturing and efficient supply. Hence, MSPL works with Thermex in Germany to quench its TMT rebars.
Manufacturing Sponge Iron With Consistent Quality
Direct reduced iron, often known as sponge iron, is produced by direct reduction of iron ore using reducing gases. Maan Steel & Power Limited produces 150,000 TPA of quality sponge iron in its own integrated steel and power plant per year. As a result of an effective manufacturing procedure, the firm has been able to produce sponge iron of uniform quality. MSPL also focuses on automated operation and careful metallurgical control to ensure that the sponge iron produced is of the highest quality.
Our cutting-edge laboratory and skilled experts closely monitor the output that is partially self-consumed in the production of our other final steel goods. Our manufacturing method is not only better to that of our competitors, but it is also more cost-effective. As a result, we can offer sponge iron at cheap costs without sacrificing quality”, highlights Shagun Agarwal, Director at Maan Steel and Power Limited.
Producing Upto 2,50,000 TPA Of MS Billets On An Annual Basis
Maan Steel & Power Limited has also been producing MS Billets utilizing automated manufacturing technology. Mild Steel Billets are solidified liquid steel with consistent cross-sectional dimensions along their length, often cast in square or rectangular cross-sections. MSPL takes pleasure in manufacturing about 2,50,000 TPA of MS Billets on a yearly basis using its Continued Casting equipment and machinery, as well as hot rolling procedures.
Its MS Billets certification and quality meet or exceed the standard criteria. The MS Billets meet worldwide quality requirements, resulting in absolute casting. Furthermore, they are error-free, corrosion-resistant, and exceptionally robust for extended periods of time.
“We want to create MS Billets for self-consumption in the production of TMT rebars and other structural steel products. In addition, we want to create MS Billets that are easily adaptable according to our clients’ needs and sizes. You may choose any diameter and we’ll make it for you. Our high-quality MS Billets are now offered at the market’s most competitive pricing”, explains Shyam Sunder Agarwal, Director at Maan Steel and Power Limited.
Our strength of creating ore to metal under one roof and our team being our backbone who have been with us for almost two decades, enable us to maintain consistency of quality product and trust in the market
MSPL’s success has been built on dedication and hard effort. The adventure was initiated by the chairman Binod, and the firm has grown steadily over the years under his able supervision. Shagun, a youthful and dynamic professional, has followed father’s footsteps in order to carry on the heritage. Dhanbad Fuels was the first firm which was started, then Maan Concast was added, and finally Maan Steel & Power to complete the group of companies.
"The journey started with Dhanbad Fuels with 3 Klins of 50 TPD in 2001 and 2002. We further adder Maan Steel and Power Limited with 2 Klins of 100 TPD followed by 2 induction furnaces of 15 MT. with CCM in 2016 and again in 2017 – 2018 one Klins of 200 TPD. In the year 2018 – 2019, MSPL went ahead and installed 2 induction furnaces of 20 MT.
During this period, the rolling mill got commissioned with a captive power plant. Another addition in the group was Maan Concast Pvt. Ltd. With two induction furnaces of 8 MT. and 2 induction furnaces of 15 MT. with CCM. Today, MSPL produces 2,00,000 MT of TMT BARS per year. Today, we have established ourselves as a competent organization in Eastern and North Eastern India”, signifies Shyam Sunder Agarwal.
In the next few years, the firm hopes to retain credibility in the sector and get new clients. The business also intends to build a 200 TPD kiln, a ferro alloy plant, a captive power plant, and wire rod mills with pellet plant.
