With the rapid urbanization and infrastructure development in India, the demand for power generation has grown significantly. Today, electricity is an essential commodity of modern economies and moreover renewable energy plays an important role in meeting the power demand across the world. Distributed energy solutions, solar products and EPC systems are the way forward towards a sustainable future.
However, one of the key aspects to take into account is the diverse geographical features of India, wherein, power generation can always be erratic. This means that gensets will continue to have predominant role in generating energy. A combination of various energy generation sources and storage capabilities working synergistically will be the future of power generation going forward.
Making that future plausible is Jakson Group - a diversified energy and Infrastructure company having expertise in Distributed Energy, Solar Solutions and Electrical EPC Solutions. The company has always been in the forefront of bringing innovation in the Indian power generation industry. This is backed up by over 75 years of experience in power generation since its inception back in 1947. Jakson Group with its unparalleled experience in the various fields of energy generation has been offering Hybrid Energy Solutions (HES) which combines multiple types of energy generation and storage solutions to offer one of the most reliable and energy efficient approaches towards generating power. It is a smart combination of grid power, diesel generating sets, solar power and battery storage solutions.
A Game Changer
Hybrid Energy Solution’s concept was initially designed as a combination of non-renewable generation such as diesel generators with UPS systems. Gradually, it has expanded to include systems that are based on renewable energy as well as fossil fuel so as to bring the best out of the both. This is backed by Jakson’s technically-adept team of professionals who are prompt at offering after sales services, irrespective of space and time constraints. The company has been focusing on bringing a long-term power solution for Microgrids and a sustainable solution when it comes to power generation in standalone applications.
Small, agile Hybrid Energy Solutions allow energy production from intermittent renewable sources into the grid more reliably. To respond accordingly to peaks and dips in renewable energy production, HES can also be interconnected into the central grid system and function as small power plants when required. The company’s competency in the Energy domain gives them an edge in developing optimum solutions for customers based on the availability of renewable and non-renewable resources, on site-specific energy infrastructure, production costs and incentive policies.
Pioneers in Diesel Generator Manufacturing
While understanding the lack of proper energy infrastructure and the geographical limitations in the country, Jakson Group has been bringing the widest range of Cummins engine powered generators ranging from 7.5 kVA to 3750 kVA in a single node so as to meet the diverse energy needs of across industries. They are the pioneers of the diesel generator manufacturing industry in India. Jakson Group is built upon 70 years of engineering excellence and the partnership it has had with Cummins; a world leader in Diesel Engines and been serving a niche clientele that includes Agrochemical, Automobile, Infrastructure & Realty, IT & ITES, Healthcare & Hospitality, Manufacturing and Agro & Aqua among others.
Jakson was the first company to bring in acoustic enclosures and the range of silent gensets in the year 2000, which was even before any regulations or norms were enacted. In order to keep up with the growing demand for its silent gensets, the company consolidated its DG Sets manufacturing facilities and today has state-of-the-art manufacturing plants located in KathuaJammu and Kalsar Gujarat.
Gagan Chanana, COO
“Today, clients are not only looking for Gensets which can be reliable in times of power outage, but are also looking at the cost of ownership that comes with it and the space it may require. Taking this into consideration, we have always come up with the product that meets the objectives. We have arguably created a benchmark when it comes to quality, cost-effectiveness, and lower emissions for the Gensets in the industry today,” says Gagan Chanana, COO at Jakson Group.
As a trend setter, Jakson group has also been leading the bandwagon in the development of battery energy storage system (BESS), which provides carbon free clean power, contemporarily designed to suit all segments and enables uninterrupted power supply and cost-effectiveness
Offering Uninterrupted Power Supply
As a trend setter, Jakson Group has also been leading the bandwagon in the development of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which provides carbon-free clean power, contemporarily designed to suit all segments and enables uninterrupted power supply and cost-effectiveness. It is not only a renewable source of energy, but also doesn't create noise or cause air pollution. Equipped with a hybrid inverter, lithium-ion batteries, and smart energy systems, it combines grid power, solar energy, and DG (Optional) which ensures operations and processes continue without any disruption through uninterrupted power supply. BESS offers a very practical solution as its compact and modular design makes it easy to transport and install.
“Jakson was the first company to bring in acoustic enclosures and the range of silent gensets in the year 1998”
Setting the Standard in Solar Energy Generation
Jakson currently has a solar IPP portfolio of 200MW with 60MW of land based operational plants in Bap Rajasthan, Lalitpur and Mahoba-Uttar Pradesh and is setting-up another 70 MW of land based solar power plant in Amguri Solar Park, Assam. Lately, it has also commissioned a 50MW Solar Plant in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
“With faster adoption of renewables, distributed energy is the sustainable solution which will redefine the future of energy. India is committed to energy security, self reliance and being carbon neutral much before 2050. This leaves us with no choice but to minimise use of fossil fuel and at Jakson we are committed to this mission of our Country. We continue to innovate products and services which will help us meet this objective” concludes Sameer Gupta, Chairman & MD, Jakson Group.
