The firm is led by Sunil Marda, an engineer from BITS Pilani (Batch of 1979) who has been involved since the inception of the firm and looks after the long term strategic planning, investments and overall management of the unit, and Runit Marda, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Raipur (Batch of 2016), who has joined Gautam Plastics & Industries since 2017 looks after the production, quality control and after sales services.

Our aim over the 40 years of our existence has been to supply quality products while maintaining the required technical specifications at competitive prices with a fast delivery rate. We have invested over the years in building the infrastructure which ensures that clients receive products fully confirming to their requirements”, says Runit Marda.
Bridging Supply Gaps with Quality Offerings
At present, the Indian Government has announced various infrastructure development projects in the country which cater to Construction, agriculture, irrigation, oil & gas infrastructure and other domains. With these schemes the GoI aims to supply tapped water to every household by 2024 under the Jal Jeevan Mission is one of the prime segment of focus for us. Most of these projects are clear cut time bound schemes which have a defined timeline of finishing of the project and the monitoring and control of these schemes has been result and progress oriented.
“Currently one of the largest suppliers of plastic products in Chhattisgarh, we started our journey with manufacturing of HDPE Pipes which were supplied to the telecom sector for laying of cables. Over the years, we have forayed into various other segments such as Agriculture where we supply Sprinkler and Drip Irrigation Systems to the farmers of our state. We have also ventured into the Potable Water Supply segment and are manufacturing Pipes for Potable Water supply by adding PVC pipes in our range of products along with HDPE and these are being supplied to customers from our state and our neighboring states as well and are also being used in the ongoing Nation-wide project ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’. One of the largest suppliers of pipes for potable water supply in Chattisgarh and nearby states, we are also into manufacturing of Casing pipes which is used for borewells and is used by the state govt departments”, shares Runit Marda.
