The Beginning & Proliferation
Since its establishment in 1984, Flovel has been committed to providing end users with high-quality non-return check valves which is why its dedication to design and delivery integrity effectively complements its constancy to innovation and customer service. Well, while the firm’s journey into the industry started back in 1984, its manufacturing processes actually began from 1986, when Flovel started manufacturing its first Wafer Check Valves that found application within the petro-chemical sector. As time passed, the firm expanded its range of offerings by 1988 to include Dual Plate valves ranging from two to 104 inches and non-slam Nozzle Check Valves ranging from two to 55 inches size, with different classes ranging from #150 to #2500 and special design, capable of handling pressures up to 30,000 PSI.
In response to market growth and accuracy requirements, Flovel in 2006 also launched as a range of ‘non-slamming axial flow nozzle check valves’. Under the keen supervision of its Chairman, Mukesh Mehta and Managing Director, Naresh Mehta, Flovel’s R&D team resorts to some high-end software such as FEA, CFD to design, analyse, and develop a new range of bellow seal and butterfly valves, further emphasizing its existing product portfolio in order to keep providing a comprehensive flow solution to clients.
Additionally, the company also leaves no stone unturned to be at the helm of the industry adhering to major international standards such as ASME, API, BS, EN, and ISO for its product designs.

Additionally, it has even invested in top-notch quality control equipment, such as spectrometers, hardness testers, ultrasonic testing machines, PMI, impact & tensile testing machines, and eight quality inspectors with NDT Level II and NDT Level III to clinch in-process and final product quality.
This independent organization also has an in-house testing facility that conducts various tests, such as hydrostatic, pneumatic, fugitive emission, high-pressure gas, cryogenic, high & low temperature test, type acceptance test, cycle test, vacuum test, fire-safe test, and all painting-related tests. Flovel’s manufacturing setup is highly regarded and has been visited and approved by EPCs (engineering, procurement & contracting companies). And, it is all this pre-eminence that poises it as a specialist in designing and manufacturing check valves for extremely sour, highly corrosive, and severe environments using technological advancements that carry out corrosion resistant alloy (CRA) and hard facing overlays in a controlled environment.
