The Machine Tools market in India has evolved through technical upgrades and flexibility standards. The scenario has completely changed from when India was dependent on Imports for quality products. It is now self-sufficient in technology and this gives a great nudge to the manufacturers to level up their products to meet customer expectations. The current industry is focused on Automation, Industry 4.0, Safety, and Non-traditional manufacturing processes. Our demand for machine tools is mostly driven by Defence, automobiles, and electric mobility industries. The government's "Make in India" initiative has also accelerated the development of the machine tool industry.
Tasa Micro SPM, a leading manufacturer of special purpose machine tools offers a vast range of products that can flexibly be put to multiple uses. Ashok Sen began his professional journey in the year 1975 with Escorts (Motorcycle and Scooter Division) as a tool designer. He then started making the transition from designing fixtures to manufacturing machines at that point. While, Sumita Sen was a teacher for 20 years and blending into the business to serve the purpose was a definite challenge. She says, “I can still recall the moment I decided to support my husband. Despite my desire, I was initially constrained by my lack of financial knowledge. It was a challenge for men to take orders from a woman. I disproved them with my work. My sole piece of advice to all women is to never give up on a goal you have set for yourself if you are confident that you can accomplish it”.
