In an era of increasing global energy demands, power and distribution transformers play a vital role in ensuring a reliable electricity supply. These transformers are integral to the transmission and distribution of power, bridging the gap between generation plants and end users across industries, businesses, and homes. Today, manufacturers of power and distribution transformers drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and grid stability, making them indispensable to modern infrastructure.
Resitech Electricals has been at the forefront of this industry, specializing in manufacturing oil epoxy resin cast transformers, switchgear components, high-tension current transformers, and potential transformers for over 20 years, earning a strong reputation among electrical consultants, contractors, and industrial establishments.
Conventional and Renewable
Resitech Electrical has positioned itself as a key supplier in the electrical and renewable energy sectors, specializing in manufacturing transformers for both conventional and solar applications. Over the past year, the company has expanded its reach, focusing on the South Indian market, with a particularly strong presence in Kerala, where it ranks second.
The firm also operates in Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh, catering to the growing demand for high-quality electrical solutions. In addition to its domestic success, the company has ventured into the export market, delivering medium voltage transformers, such as 3000 KV units, for electric vehicle charging stations and renewable energy projects.
While some competitors offer transformers at lower prices, the firm focuses on positioning itself as a premium provider, ensuring toptier quality even at a slightly higher rate. Resitech Electricals process begins when it receives an inquiry; the marketing team prepares a detailed quotation, and it follows up throughout the decision-making process. Often, clients request discussions to explain technical details, where the company emphasizes transformer efficiency, loss systems, and the superior materials we use, including high-quality copper.
The firm provides transparent information, including copper weight, to prove its commitment to quality. Once the order is finalized, the firm prioritizes design according to customer requirements and timelines. Despite logistical challenges, especially with materials from Mumbai, Baroda, and Bangalore, Resitech Electrical streamlines its process to ensure delivery within 30 days, maintaining high standards throughout production and delivery.
Our commitment to innovation and quality drives us to develop specialized transformers that meet the unique demands of industries worldwide
“My entrepreneurial journey began in 1999 when I partnered with a transformer company, where I worked for 18 years. After leaving due to unforeseen circumstances, I faced numerous challenges, particularly as a woman in heavy engineering in Kerala. However, with my husband’s support—who took on another job to help support our family—and encouragement from my children, I launched my own transformer company in 2007.
Balancing a new business and family responsibilities was tough, but my determination propelled me forward. By 2015, my husband joined as Marketing Director, and today, after 17 years, our company is well-established, boasting and a strong reputation for quality and significant market share”, shares Lekha Balchandran, Director of Resitech Electricals.
Strengthening Global Ties
This year, Resitech Electricals is anticipating a robust order book, particularly with a significant client from Dubai who supplies to many Asian countries. The firm is in the final stages of negotiations, awaiting approval after their quality checks, with their parent company based in Russia. Additionally, an order from a Canadian client is expected soon.
The company is also working on specialized transformers, such as those for oil rigs, which require a unique design different from the conventional models used in India. The firm’s design team has also developed transformers for solar applications, which differ from traditional designs. This diversification reflects its continuous innovation and adaptability in meeting diverse client needs across industries and geographies.
