The “Make in India” initiative of the government of India has given a major boost to domestic manufacturers while attracting many foreign companies to invest as well as set up shop in India. “These developments are reflected in the industrial heating sector too, with an increasing number of both public and private companies looking to source heating equipment from Indian manufacturers,” remarks Manish Bhatevara, CEO of Pune-based Rashmi Heaters. Founded in 1991, Rashmi Heaters designs, develops, and manufactures electric tubular heaters and heating systems. With a thorough understanding of customer requirements, the company has delivered a wide range of tailored heating elements and systems to more than 5000 clients across various industry segments.
Rashmi Heaters is among the few companies that have focused on the industrial heating market for the past 30 years. A technical tie up with Elpro International, a GE company, has helped Rashmi Heaters build as well as consistently increase its design and manufacturing strength. Over the years, Rashmi Heatershas acquired deep knowledge and expertise in handling around 50 different fluids from 80 distinct industry verticals. The company offers a wide range of tube material alternatives for the manufacturing of heating systems, including SS 304, SS 316, SS 321, titanium, lead, Teflon, and Incoloy 800 and 840. Rashmi Heaters imports most of these raw materials from trusted sources and employs best-
in-class machinery to manufacture superior products.
From early on, Rashmi Heaters has invested heavily in advanced machines produced by renowned equipment manufacturers. These machines have resulted in quick changeovers, improved quality, and faster lead times than most competitors. Only recently, Rashmi Heaters designed and delivered a 200 KW system—including heaters and control panels—for Tata Toyo within a month, earning tremendous praise for product quality and project completion speed.
“Most customers that approach us are looking for a complete heating solution comprising heaters, control panels, pressure vessels, and instrumentation with all the necessary certifications,” adds Bhatevara. All of Rashmi Heaters’ products are certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), along with featuring the CE mark.

Besides being registered with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the company has its product quality inspected by global agencies Bureau Veritas, TUV, PDIL, and Intertek. In terms of ratings, Rashmi Heaters delivers systems ranging from 1 KW small heaters to 325 KW single assemblies – comprising heaters, control panels, pressure vessels, and so forth. The ability to comprehensively address diverse customer requirements, together with the aforementioned certifications, has not only helped Rashmi Heaters grow its clientele but also receive new inquiries and orders from the existing customers.
Apart from domestic customers, Rashmi Heaters regularly exports heating systems to Europe, Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. Most of these customers are looking for custom designs, quicker delivery time, and ways to cut costs without compromising performance. Rashmi Heaters recently enabled one such customer to achieve 15 percent cost reduction by intricately studying their requirements and offering a more compact system design. The company even delivered heaters much earlier than the promised date. “We shall continue to serve customers most promptly and cost-effectively while constantly upgrading our designing and manufacturing capabilities to deliver heating systems of superior quality,” concludes Bhatevara.
