Given your rich experience over the years, share some insights about the developments in the Power Generators and Related Equipment manufacturing industry in India in the last five years? What opportunities have been created for the players in this domain?
Various initiatives such as ‘Housing for All’, ‘Smart Cities Mission’, upcoming expressways/corridors, airports, seaports as planned in the Union Budget 2021 show that the Infrastructure sector remains the biggest focus area for the Government of India. With an anticipated growth at a CAGR of approximately 7% during 2021-2025, we foresee a huge potential in the sector. The infrastructure sector that includes bridges, dams, roads, tunnels, airports, and urban infrastructure development, calls for an uninterrupted power source that is backed by a backup generator. The rapid speed of digitization prompted by Covid-19, coupled with the rise in the number of data-consuming smart devices, the need for high-speed internet, cloud computing, has fueled a massive growth of data centers (DC) in India. Various Government policies on data localization and privacy, lower labor cost, and growing domestic demand have all made India a global destination for DCs. These data centers require a high standard of infrastructure backed up by a very reliable power source. Most of the DCs are now of Tier III or TIER IV types, and it requires DG systems to meet their TIER requirements.

PHPL & Baudouin India has been focusing on the MHP and HHP diesel generator market since 2017 and has been growing our presence in the market at a fast pace. The design of the Baudouin engine comes from its DNA of marine ensuring ruggedness. The design is aesthetically neat and clean giving clear serviceability access.
We are gearing up for the next emission change (CPCB IV+) and are at an advanced stage of product development and introductions. Most of our product platforms are already on the electronic platform with HPCRS technology and migration to CPCB IV+ will be far easier at a much lower cost delta. With a wide OEA and channel partner network customers get quick after-sales and service response.
How has the overall journey of the company been since its inspection in terms of milestones achieved and geographical expansions?
Perfect House has been in India for more than 60 years. My father had a vision of creating MADE IN INDIA products for years & instilled this value in us. We are the 3rd generation now ruling the Indian market & saw that the need for renewable & other sources of Power is the need of the hour, so we launched solar power in 2017. At the same time, we are now progressing towards getting the best technology of gensets in India with our collaboration with Baudouin.
Major factors that drive our company's sales are reliability & durability our gensets offer
In the next, months, we are going to have our 4th factory unit installed in Satara, Maharashtra. We have made significant achievements by giving employment to more than 600 people in Satara, Maharashtra directly and on contract basis & are top taxpayers in Satara.
What does the future have in store for PHPL?
PHPL is investing heavily across the County in Quality Manpower for all the verticals across key functions, be it Marketing & Sales, After Sales Service or Manufacturing. PHPL has already started basis & we are of Art Plant in Satara for MHP & HHP Sets with the latest high precision Machinery & one of the best Testing Bed suitable to Test up to 3000 KVA Sets both for LT & HT machines.
Baudouin is at a very advanced stage of adding new models of engines which will be available in the market before the next emission change. This will be a distinctive advantage for us and we will be the first player in the market to have the complete product basket in the market as a genset manufacturer. Our goal is to become one of the significant players in Powergen market space in the next five years.
While PHPL continues to invest in Power Generation there are major plans to acquire/build new plants related to Power Generation & Distribution.
