The lathes manufactured by JMTPL has wide range of spindle speeds and top cutting speed due its spindle mounted on high precision P5 series tapper roller bearing to achieve the best surface finish on all types of steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and plastics. The company also provides attachments such as grinding, copy turning, milling, taper turning, DRO, etc. as per the customer requirements.
JMTPL started manufacturing lathe machines since 2004, the company used to produce around
50 machines per year and catered to only a handful clients and dealers across networks in Karnataka. Lead by Vinod Umarji in the year 2006, the CEO at JMTPL, the production has reached nearly 175 machines per year within first five years of his joining. Today it has more than 800+ clients and dealers across the nation alone.
JMPTL has an effective sourcing method, where the suppliers’ performance is regularly monitored by means of supplier rating. JMTPL improves productivity by enhancing its in-house process performance by monitoring and controlling of rework and rejections at various stages. It aims at continuous process improvement by implementing new technologies and training on productivity improvement for workmen. JMTPL is now sufficiently primed and geared up to manufacture higher series of lathe machines such as Turnmaster 600, 800, and 1000mm
Its sister concern, M/s Jinagoudra city foundry supplies a wide range of graded FG 220 C.I. castings weighing from 0.5 kg to 600 kgs. Another sister concern company M/s. Elmeca Works (Proprietor Pelma Engineering Industry Pvt. Ltd.) manufactures machines tools accessories, and CNC tooling such as; wide range of collets and feed fingers, micro boring and facing heads, lever-operated collet chucks, micro boring bars and cartridges, vertical indexing and non-indexing fixtures, spindles, adaptors, or collets for multi-spindle machines, expanding mandrels and many more.
All Geared Precision Lathe Machines manufactured in JMTPL, are renowned lathe products in the market and its design is proof that the machines are built with technical know-how and trained staff in the machine tool segment. The ‘A’ classified items such as Bed, Leg, Carriage, Headstock body, Feed box, Apron and others are machined inhouse. Whereas, other major items such as spindles, gears, shafts, lead screws, and other major components and machine tool accessories are supplied by its sister concerns. This backward integration allows us a great extent of supervision over the entire process for production efficiency and cost control.
