In Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh, THINK Gas debuted its first LNG dispensing terminal and its 100th CNG station, respectively. The business now runs 41 CNG stations in Bhopal, Rajgarh, and Shivpuri. It provides maintenance for over 20,000 cars and provides the state with more than 60,000 kg of CNG each day. Additionally, the construction of 12 additional CNG stations in Madhya Pradesh is set to begin soon and be finished by March 2024.
The newly introduced LNG dispensing terminal, located in the Bagroda Industrial Area, is primarily designed to serve heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks and buses traveling between major cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chhattisgarh, and Orissa. This LNG terminal offers an alternative to diesel fuel with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and potentially lower operational costs for fleet managers. The dual inauguration event in Karond and Bagroda was attended by THINK Gas senior leadership, including Amitava Sengupta, Chairman; Hardip Singh Rai, CEO; and Sandeep Trehan, President of Marketing and business Development.
THINK Gas has engaged in partnerships with vehicle dealers and CNG retrofitting centers to facilitate the transition to CNG. The company has also connected over 35,000 households across the state with domestic PNG, aiming to add 100,000 more households in the coming two years. In the industrial sector, THINK Gas has formed associations with major brands, indicating a growing preference for clean energy solutions. The company has outlined plans to increase daily consumption from 80,000 to 100,000 Standard Cubic Meters (SCM) in the subsequent 12 to 18 months.
THINK Gas is working with local officials in Bhopal to launch a tree-planting project called as the "THINK Forest" as part of its environmental activities. The project will use the Miyawaki tree-planting technique in an effort to increase the area's vegetation and reduce pollution. Additionally, to highlight the value and advantages of natural gas, the corporation will host an inter-school painting competition in Bhopal in an effort to encourage environmental awareness among the younger population.
