Tata Motors announced on Dec 28 that it has received an order from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation to supply 1,350 diesel bus chassis.
According to the company, the order is for the Tata LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis, which has been developed for intercity and long-distance travel.

We look forward to commencing supplies as per the guidance of UPSRTC," said Rohit Srivastava, Vice President & Business Head, CV Passengers, Tata Motors.
The automaker won the contract after a competitive e-bidding process conducted through the government tendering process, and the bus chassis will be delivered in stages.
Tata Motors claims to have supplied over 58,000 buses to various state and public transport agencies to date.
