Suzlon, a developer of renewable energy solutions, announced on Thursday that First Energy, a Thermax Group company, has awarded them a 39-MW wind power project. According to a corporate release, this order is a component of First Energy 5 Pvt Ltd's 100-MW wind-solar hybrid project. 13
wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower and a 3 MW rated capacity will be installed by Suzlon. The project, which would be in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin district and be placed there, is anticipated to be completed in 2024. Suzlon will comply with the terms of the agreement by providing the wind turbines (equipment delivery) and managing the project, including its erection and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will offer complete post-commissioning operations and maintenance services.
"This is our first order with the (Thermax group) and features our 3 MW series product, which is one of the largest wind turbines in India right now," J P Chalasani, CEO of the Suzlon company, said in a statement. "Suzlon is the right partner for us for this project," said Ravi Damaraju, Director of First Energy, "as a leading provider of renewable energy solutions with tested technology."
