K P Energy has secured a contract from Aditya Birla Renewables to establish the supporting infrastructure for a 23.1 MW wind energy project, known as the Balance of Plant. However, the specific financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
According to a BSE filing, K P Energy will be responsible for the development of the Balance of Plant for a 23.1 MW wind-solar hybrid power project, which will be connected to an existing 140 MW power evacuation facility at Fulsar PSS. This project also involves the installation of 11 wind turbines manufactured by Suzlon.
K P Energy's scope of work includes providing a comprehensive range of services, encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) for the project. This involves activities like land acquisition, design, manufacturing, supply, construction, assembly, testing, and commissioning for the supporting infrastructure, as well as obtaining the necessary approvals and permits for the project. The expected completion date for the project is in the 2024-25 timeframe.
