King International Ship Supply has even established its own FMCG brands, named Zeenath, Khalifah, Zulfiqhaar, Khalid, Salahuddin, Al-Battar Brands under sister concern M/s. Khalifa Group Industries and Farms, to supply the vessels with its own High Standard Quality Assured products. Irfan mentions, “We have got USA FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Registration for all food item exports. Now we are planning to apply for Mpeda, Spices Board, Coffee Board, And Halaal, to capture international markets via container exports". Along with exporting the items to other parts of the world. Today, the team deals with different products like Basmati, ALL Fresh, Dry, Frozen Groceries/Provisions, Fish, Prawn, Halaal Meat, Dry Fruits, Spices, Tea, Coffee and other daily domestic items with Agricultural products export development authority (APEDA), Govt. of India.
Irfan mentions, “We have applied for APEDA(RCMS) ,MPEDA and in the coming days we will also be applying for HACCP, halal, USDA to capture international markets via container exports. Irfan, a Masters degree holder in Biotechnology from Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalay, Indore (Through JNU combined entrance test), Former Phd Student-Biotechnology, Utah State University, Utah, US on F1 Visa with Full scholarship, T.A,R.A ship, Former Software Developer (Business Intelligence, SAP), US Employee on H1B Visa at AET Solutions, Michigan, is the leader guiding the firm through ups and downs. He also has Research experience working at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, National Institute of Immunology (JNU campus), Delhi, JNCASR, Bangalore, CDFD, Hyderabad, H.A., Pimpri, Pune prior US journey. He has devoted himself in developing and maintaining firm relationships with all cross Indian ports, local suppliers, store-stockyard owners, ship breakers, logistic personnel and licensed workshops, ship owners, managements, masters and more.
Whereas, the three younger brothers of Irfan, Imran Shaik, B.tech (IT), Irshad shaik, B.Tech (IT), and Iliyas shaik, MBA (Finance), manages the procurements, sale-supply, warehouse maintenance, logistics , port-custom administration communication and documentation finance maintenance. The elder brother of Irfan Shaik, Ismail Shaik (ML), and his sisterin-law Parveen Sultana, B.com, B.ED have provided their valuable inputs in key areas of – price lists, documentation, and administration related jobs.
“My whole family works together as a household company. Furthermore, we have got immensely educated, trustworthy, and Multi tasking Managers & Engineers with whom we can expand and capture business at every Indian port/abroad in the very near future”, points Shaik. “On the flip side, My paternal uncle Abdul Salaam Sahab, purchase manager at Vizag port and Chief Manager has supported and backed us with his 30 years of industry employment experience and his trustworthy contacts. He has been the key to collaborations with ports of Mumbai, Haldia, Chennai, Cochin, Kandla, and other local ship chandlers”, he adds.
Incorporated in 2011, King International Ship Supply was initially registered at Krishnapatnam port. However, with time, the firm has expanded its service in the other ports of Vizag, Kakinada, Gangavaram, and Paradip. King International Ship Supply also serves the local major, minor and intermediary ports across all Indian ports with MoU In the year 2017, the team collaborated with one of its US counterparts to extend its reach in US Gulf Ports and Florida ports, as well with other local collaborations in Singapore, Egypt, and Dubai.

In the coming days, Irfan wants to follow the divide and conquer approach. This is to ensure that areas that in every area that the family has vested their interest will prosper and flourish. Starting with King International Ship Supply, Irfan is optimistic about collaborating with different stakeholders to expand its reach in almost every port in America, Europe, Africa, and Australia. In India, the team is looking forward to serving as many clients and vessels as possible.
On the other hand, through Khalifa Group, Irfan and his brothers are planning to command aqua international exports via reefer containers together with other food items. Currently, the firm deals with products like – Basmati, Dry Groceries, spices-masalas, vegetables-fruits, tea, coffee, Dry Fruits, Olive oil, Halaal meat, chicken, Fish, and Prawns. In the future, Irfan wants to expand its bracket of offering while extending its reach.
