Growing popularity among the consumer related to restaurants, increasing inclination towards modern lifestyles across the globe, and growing demand for energy-efficient and cost-effective commercial kitchen equipments are the major drivers of the commercial kitchen equipment market.
In today's time, the market is at its boom, especially in India. However, looking at the service providers & kitchen equipments manufacturers, it can be seen that in India as well as abroad, very few companies are evolving their way of working from the ground up. This industry is so old that it needs some sort of massive change, not only technologically but the complete experience needs to be revamped.
HEMCO was incorporated in the early 2000s by its current CEO & Group Chairman Vishal Singh in the city of Allahabad by a very minimal investment. Currently headquartered in Lucknow, the company consists of several large manufacturing plants and offices in Indian cities & abroad as well. It deliberately focuses more on quality than quantity.
It offers equipments at very reasonable price as compared to its competitors and the quality of the products are unmatched in the Indian market at the price it offers.
The company’s positioning in this market from 2000 to 2015 was as a normal kitchen equipment company that just focused on selling equipment as opposed to being innovative and interactive with the customer. In 2016, the company’s journey commenced as a more innovative company selling novel products and services.
HEMCO begin reinventing and re-planning its business and positioning in the market and started thinking from a different perspective; setting itself apart from other vendors in the Indian market. The company started implementing advancing technologies into its products and services day by day thus benefiting the hospitality industry and its own business as well.
Gamut of Commercial Kitchen Equipment
HEMCO strongly understands the value of technology and its result can be seen in its products and services. The company uses state of the art technology starting from the pre-sales process which uses latest CAD software, Laser Measuring and other high end software which help to understand the need of the customer.
It offers customization of each and every product as per the requirements of the customer. Latest and state of the art CNC & Laser machines are used to ensure that the product is built with highest level of precision and quality. It carries out measuring & testing of each and every raw material which is being used in the product to ensure long term durability.
All products go through a rigorous testing before they are packed and shipped. HEMCO is the first brand in industry to have incorporated the use of Augmented & Virtual Reality in the installation of the products.
Bringing Customers Business Goals to Life with AR and VR
Vishal goes on to explain how around 50 percent to 60 percent of the customers that approach HEMCO are laymen that do not belong to the hospitality industry and do not possess much industry knowledge. So mostly a customer just comes in, he just has empty space or just provides the vendor with the dimensions of the area.
In this scenario, normally, the vendor converts the dimensions offered into a 2D layout which does not help the client much in visualising the end result.
So in essence, the client is unable to imagine what the finished kitchen would look like and are just shown the products to be installed from the warehouse. This delays the sales process eventually.
HEMCO addresses this challenge by deploying VR technology that helps clients envision what the final layout would look like thus helping clients make quicker decisions and drive up better sales.
The team of highly qualified professionals at HEMCO are currently working on implementing AR which would require the customer to possess a phone or iPad or any smartphone device with a camera.
All the client will need to do is capture photographs of his current space and he will be able to visualise the kitchen space with equipment in place and the ability to virtually move around in a 360 degree fashion thus availing better insight of what the project once finished would look like.
HEMCO is known for carrying out turnkey projects with its experience & commitment to help its customers through and through. The company is having the best team for after-sales service which is equipped with state of the art technology to help the company better address the customer queries & complaints.
It offers a strong feedback system which can serve as evidence of having a satisfaction percentage of 99 percent.
We are establishing different brands including introducing premium kitchen equipments for the first time in India, which will provide the utmost luxury and convenience to customers who are willing to create one of its kind kitchen for their brand.
“We at HEMCO have taken few aggressive steps during the year 2019-2020-2021 by completely rebranding and rethinking the way we work. We are establishing different brands including introducing Premium Kitchen Equipments for the first time in India, which will provide the utmost luxury and convenience to customers who are willing to create one of its kind kitchen for their brand which will include Kitchen Design Services, Brand Consultancy & Serve the best of the best,” says Vishal.
The Road that Lies Ahead
Gearing up for the future, HEMCO is introducing new platforms, schemes and ventures directed at assisting the hospitality industry reach newer heights. In the next six months, the company will be introducing a brand designed and developed for the affordable class.
In order to turn this vision into reality, HEMCO is starting a new manufacturing unit, one of the first in India to make kitchen equipment out of an assembly line where such production is normally done manually. “This improves the production speed and decreases the cost which is a key factor in reducing the retail value.
Right now there are vendors selling cheap equipment but the quality is very poor and it has a very short lifespan,” adds Vishal. Various government initiatives that provide remuneration and subsidies for manufacturing industries especially the MSMEs is helping boost the growth of this industry.
In tandem with this venture, HEMCO is also starting its new online store which would essentially cater to the affordable class.

Another venture is innCART which is India’s First core hospitality store. People can customize according to personal preference and purchase their own restaurant or food joint in five simple steps. The company will soon be starting its restaurant chain of about five restaurants which is currently delayed due to the onset of Covid-19 and will resume schedule soon enough.
“So in 9 to 10 Lakhs you can set a new restaurant and start its functioning. This amount would be for the set up cost and we have a three year contract in which our brand will be associated with the restaurant and we will be taking 10 percent of your revenue while providing you the equipment, the consultancy, the long term marketing, website, mobile app and so on,” explains Vishal.
“HEMCO will be known as a game-changer in the Indian Hospitality Industry in the next 5 Years.
Our determination for perfection will help us achieve that. We won’t be restricted to a single class of people; we will serve customers ranging from a Chaat Wala to a 7 Star Hotelier with the respective level of quality & perfection,” envisages Vishal.
Battling a Pandemic with Cutting-edge Sanitizing Tunnel
Perfectly understanding the impact the unfortunate and unforeseen disease Covid-19 will have on the industry, HEMCO has started a new brand called the SanitaryBOX to help curb the situation at hand. Studies conducted by the company show that in the next two years the commercial kitchen equipment market will not witness the arrival of many good projects of greater value and are expecting close to 80 percent downfall in sales.
To combat this issue and bring about a positive change in today’s world, the SanitaryBOX acts as a modular sanitizing tunnel that contains an atomized liquid spray saturating the environment.
Essentially, it can be used at public and government spaces to sanitize the citizens and vehicles as well; one of the first tunnels in India with the ability to sanitize vehicles.
