I am basically a commerce graduate, but along with my studies, I was also carrying responsibly of production. I went through the training of all departments – starting from Quality Control of incoming raw material, production planning, colour matching & final Quality check of the Masterbatch. This 5 years journey has finally prepared myself for marketing. First 2 years I was handling only domestic market & today I handle the Global Sales & Marketing of Universal Masterbatch.
What Are The Various Roles & Responsibilities That You Currently Shoulder At Universal Masterbatch? Tell Us The Most Challenging Aspects Of Your Role As A Director And How Did You Overcome Them?
As mentioned above, I went through training of all the departments. But as on day – marketing is my prime task. The most challenging task is that all customers expect us as a problem solver. There is a wrong impression in mind of all processors that any problem they face during production is only because of Masterbatch addition. So, they always insist us to give them its solution.

We have one of the best Testing Lab with force of high technical personnel. Due to our good marketing network, every day we get some new and innovative requirements. What Have Been The Most Significant Milestones That You Have Achieved So Far In Your Professional Journey? What Is Your Guiding Leadership Philosophy?
I will surely like to take credit in few new developments of our company. Which is Biodegradable Compound, Roto Pre Masterbatch for Rotomoulding industry & PreDispersed Pigment for P V C. My philosophy is very simple. Listen to the problems & requirements of your customers very carefully. Discuss with our technical team & get the solution for customer in shortest possible time.

How Do You Keep Yourself Well Aligned With The Periodic Changes In The Market And What Would Be Your Advice To The Coming Generation Of Entrepreneurs?
I travel globally & meet too many technocrats of our field. Understand the trend of market requirements & come up with the results in time. This keeps our pace parallel to global progress in our field.As far as my advice goes, I would say I am too young to advise anyone. Still, I would like to tell them to- Keep Your Eyes & Ears open while you move in the field. Listen to your customer very carefully. Discuss your problems/ requirements with your down line openly. This will open your door towards the progress.
