Inner tubes of tyres are fundamentally a tyre's internal component which is meant to maintain air pressure. As a result, manufacturers are expected to design high-performance inner tubes, assuring high-quality rubber adhesion and leakage. Founded in 1995, Dolfin Rubbers was set up with the vision to manufacture high quality tubes for tyres. From Mopeds to Scooters, Motorcycles, Cars, Jeeps, to Tractors, SCV, LCV, ADV, and Trucks, the business has been catering to practically all fast moving vehicles.
All tubes are made with a specially designed heat resistant compound that provides nearly double the air retention and may be used freely even on high-speed automobiles or heavily laden trucks. To ensure client satisfaction, right from procurement of raw materials through the packing of final items, the firm takes exceptional care.
The organization has effectively catered to its specialty consumers with strong distributors and dealers across PAN INDIA. In January of this year, the business opened a new tyre facility for 2 and 3 wheelers, producing both tube type and tubeless tyres.
Kawaljit, Founder & Director, Dolfin Rubbers Ltd recently engaged in an exclusive interview with The Industry Outlook Magazine. Here’s the snippet from the interview where he throws more light on his personal and professional life along with the unique traits of the company.
Take Us Through Your Early Educational Journey And Prior Industry Experience That You Bring To The Table.
I graduated from the Evening Government College (Ludhiana). Following graduation, I pursued my LLB by correspondence from Jammu University. In 1980, I began with my tyre and tube trading business which encompassed retailing and wholesaling. Then, until February 1993, I began
promoting several types of tyres and tubes. Following that, I worked as a GSA for Falcon Tyres Ltd. (a subsidiary of Dunlop India Ltd.) in Ludhiana. I was in charge of marketing for 2 and 3-wheelers’ tyres and tubes across Punjab, J&K, Himachal, and Chandigarh. After Falcon Tyres discontinued marketing via GSA in 1995, I along with my wife incorporated DOLFIN RUBBERS LTD.
What Are The Various Roles And Responsibilities That You Currently Shoulder At DOLFIN Rubbers? What Are Some Of The Challenging Aspects Of Your Role And How Did You Overcome Them?
I’m in charge of marketing, finance/banking, and raw material procurement for our manufacturing unit. The most difficult component was establishing a network for our products PAN India. It became my passion once I accepted it as a challenge. I began travelling to every region of India in search of good consumers and within a few years, we had established a huge network to market our brand with a positive brand image.
Tell Us About The Expertise You Possess In The Rubber Tyres And Tubes Industry. How Are You Driving Growth Within The Company?
Considering our vast network and our specialization in replacement market sales by emphasizing tiny counters, we gradually created a large brand of our tube. As a result, we were unable to focus only on the export and OEM markets, instead prefered to concentrate on the replacement market.
What Have Been The Most Significant Milestones That You Have Achieved So Far In Your Professional Journey? What Is Your Guiding Leadership Philosophy?
My accomplishments would be the relationships I have with my distributors and the recognition we have garnered from our peers. These have helped our firm get through difficult times and enabled me to complete my dream idea, Dolfin Rubbers. My leadership philosophy is to comprehend fundamental concepts, perspectives, and values, to constantly believe in purpose, and to accept the responsibility for every core, and to be optimistic always.

How Do You Keep Yourself Well Aligned With The Periodic Revolutions Occurring Within Your Respective Industry And Tech World?
We began producing tubes out of natural rubber. However, as technology advanced we switched to butyl rubber; a synthetic rubber that gave our tubes a high profile. This has aided us in competing with competitors and gaining new clients. Furthermore, periodic revolutions enable new approaches to construct organizations which has resulted in improved structure.
