The hydrocarbon potential of North East India can be fully harnessed for the development of a gas-based economy in accordance with the Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 of the Government of India by utilising the NEGG infrastructure. In the future, both businesses will search for chances to connect other ONGC gas fields with the NEGG, according to Dr. Ajit Kumar Thakur, CEO of IGGL. For the purpose of connecting their gas fields with NEGG, IGGL is also in contact with other natural gas-producing businesses. Through NEGG, the Hook Up Agreements will make it easier to withdraw 1,85,000 SCMD of natural gas from ONGC's Tripura asset, 82,500 SCMD from Silchar asset, and 72,500 SCMD from Jorhat asset.
