The company plans to establish an integrated solar manufacturing unit and a battery production PURE EV strengthens the electric two-wheeler market by partnering with JioThings, a Jio Platforms subsidiary that delivers advanced smart digital clusters and telematics features in electric vehicles. PURE EV uses an initial agreement to integrate JioThings' entire IoT solutions within its electric two-wheelers, which boosts vehicle connectivity and functionality.facility, reflecting its focus on self-sufficiency and innovation in sustainable energy solutions.To spearhead these ventures, RInfra has appointed Ivan Saha as CEO of Renewable Manufacturing and Mushtaque Hussain as CEO of Battery Manufacturing. The Solar Manufacturing Division, led by Saha, will focus on ramping up domestic solar panel and component production. Saha brings over 30 years of experience in semiconductors, solar technology, and device design, having previously worked with Vikram Solar and ReNew Power. Meanwhile, the Battery Manufacturing Division, headed by Hussain, will develop advanced energy storage solutions for grid applications and electric mobility. Hussain, with over 25 years of experience, has held key roles at Tesla and Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL).Beyond India, Reliance Power is expanding its clean energy footprint internationally. The company is currently developing 1,270 MW of renewable projects in Bhutan, further strengthening its position in the sector.With this strategic entry into renewable manufacturing, Reliance Infrastructure is set to play a pivotal role in India's transition to sustainable energy, contributing to the nation's clean energy goals and global competitiveness in the sector. With 4G telematics integrated into PURE EV, drivers will have access to real-time vehicle status updates that enhance operational performance measures. Nishanth Dongari, the PURE EV founder and managing director, described this evaluation as a major advancement in understanding how to redefine the EV ecosystem, which delivers better connectivity features and increased user convenience to customers.The JioThings 4G Smart Digital Cluster operates using AvniOS, which stems from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), to deliver real-time data analysis and user-customizable two-wheeler displays compatible with full high definition plus touchscreen display capabilities.
