The textile hub position of Punjab in India is due to its well-developed foundation as well as its experienced staff members together with its convenient access to cotton sources originating from neighboring states. The ready-made garment market is growing among Indian and international consumers and Punjab-based manufacturers are producing more ready-made garments. The export center of Ludhiana which specializes in knitwear production continues to receive increasing orders from European markets as well as the United States and the Middle Eastern countries. Winter clothing products and active wear items together with sustainable textile materials are experiencing exceptional market demand.Through government support from Punjab and the central administration, the industry is expanding.
